So, what is exactly is client/customer appreciation?
Freshworks explains it simply. "Customer or client appreciation is the act of expressing gratitude and thankfulness to your customers for continuing to choose your business."
Although client appreciation is important for businesses of all sizes, it's especially important for small businesses like us! Showing your clients that you value them is an effective way to make them happy and increase the possibilities of a long-term relationship.
Additionally, "[it encourages your client] to sing your praises to everyone they know â potentially generating new business" (American Express). As small businesses, we can always use new leads!

A simple âThank Youâ
Ask customers for feedback

đ Write/give personalized thank you's. Simple, but effective!
đ Send out gift cards or coupons for your services.
đ Shine a spotlight on certain customers/clients. Social media would be good for this one!
đ Create a loyalty program.
đ Send a meaningful gift. We found consumables/food is always a good way to go!
đ Offer free shipping for a while, if applicable.
đ Give out a discount code. You can named it "THANKYOU" or "APPRECIATEU"!
đ Regular check-ins with your clients/customers. It's a good time to remind them that they're important to you!
đ Have a contest (with gifts/prizes). A fun way of getting your clients/customers to engage in your platform and also feel appreciated!

Remember, even "small gestures can go a long way toward showing your customers you appreciate them, which will make them want to come back for more" (American Express).
